On November 22, within the frameworks of the program "Rukhani Zhangyru", the lecturers of the Department of Foreign Languages Kulakhmetova Zh.T. , Shyngysbaev R.A. and Beisembaeva S.T. conducted an open educational lesson on the topic “Preventing the propaganda and dissemination of extremist materials on the territory of the university” with students from the Faculty of Social Sciences and the Faculty of International Relations.
It is no secret that the leaders of extremist organizations are interested in attracting people, especially youth, to the destructive activities of religious and political extremist organizations. In this regard, the urgent problem for Kazakhstan is the creation of stable immunity among young people to the effects of their propaganda.
The purpose of this event was to prevent and combat the spread of extremist materials on the territory of the university.
The lecturers talked with students about the need to be careful when dealing with representatives of extremist organizations and their attempts to disseminate extremist literature on the campus. Students were informed of their legal liability for violation of the rules stipulated by the Law “On Countering Extremism”, article 12, according to which “the use of communication networks and means to carry out extremism, as well as import, publication, manufacture and the spread of extremist materials.
The lecturers organized the watching of the documentary film “The Face of Religious Extremism” followed by a discussion.
