The conference "The role of ethno-cultural organizations in the formation of anti-corruption culture in society" was held at our university

On February 6th, 2018 there was held a conference "The role of ethno-cultural organizations in the formation of anti-corruption culture in society" at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. The conference was organized collaboratively with the Department of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Activities in Astana. Many representatives of the department, members of the ethno-cultural associations of Astana, the scientific-expert group of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, teachers and students of the University attended and took active part within the conference. The event was opened by, the head of the Department and Chairman of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption Council of Astana, T. Kaskin.  He invited the Assembly representatives and the people of Kazakhstan to take an active part in shaping the anti-corruption culture in society. Also, Vice President of the educational corporation "Turan" O. Aliyev delivered a speech.

On behalf of the university, the deputy dean of the Faculty of International Relations, M. Kosybayev, delivered his speech as well.  He told what activities are being conducted in the framework of combating corruption within the educational institution and shared the experience of the faculty of international relations in the process that there is zero tolerance for corruption offenses.

Additionally, the deputy chairman of the Republican Youth Organization "Zharasym" under the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan D.Jumurbayev talked about the role of young people in the formation of a society free from corruption, as well as measures taken by students to counter corruption. At the end of the event, the participants shared their views on the fight against corruption in the state and expressed their ideas regarding the process of forming an anti-corruption society.
