Methodical work, as we know, is the most important means of improving pedagogical skills of university teachers, linking the entire system of higher education into a coherent whole.
In this regard, within the framework of the Decade of Science that is taking place at the L.N.Gumilyov ENU, on April 9, 2018, Kadyskyzy Aigul, Senior Lecturer of Foreign Languages Department of the International Relations Faculty facilitated a methodical seminar for teachers of foreign languages.
During the seminar, Aigul Kadyskyzy told her colleagues about the features and opportunities of using more than 20 different methods of teaching foreign languages in heterogeneous linguistic subgroups. Aigul Kadyskyzy shared her experience in their use and told about the appropriateness of each of them depending on the tasks of a lesson.
At the end of the seminar teachers exchanged opinions. Colleagues discussed the specifics of some well-known techniques, as well as of many less commonly practiced teaching methods, for example, Bonanza, Peer control, Four corners, Forced debate and others.
The seminar was very interesting. All the information materials provided by the teacher with more than 20 years of experience are ready-made tools for the work of a modern university teacher.
