At the Spanish Center named after Rui Gonzalez de Clavijo the Consul of the Embassy of Spain in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Adrian Romero met with students

On April 4, 2018, at the Spanish Center named after Rui Gonzalez de Clavijo the Consul of the Embassy of Spain in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Adrian Romero met with 2nd and 3rd year students of "International Relations" and "Regional Studies", during which the Consul addressed the students with a lecture on: "The career of a diplomat in Spain". This meeting was organized by Foreign Languages Department of the Faculty of International Relations.

It was a very interesting lecture and even more than that, since Mr.Consul brought a real suit of a diplomat of the first half of the 20th century. The suit caused genuine interest among the students, one of whom was lucky to try it on.

The lecture was held in a habitually relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Mr.Romero told students firstly about the suit, the peculiarities of diplomatic career in Spain at that period, as well as about new requirements for modern diplomats and challenges of working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After his speech students asked various questions about the culture of Spain, current political situation, further development of bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Spain, problems of Catalonia's separation, and about positive and negative aspects of working in the diplomatic corps. The conversation between the students and the consul was in Spanish and English.

Such lectures are very important, as they contribute to the formation of students' ideas about the further development of our country, the place and role of Kazakhstan in the system of international diplomatic relations.
