L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University opened a photo exhibition dedicated to the first president of Turkey - Mustafa Kemal Ataturk

On November of 10, 2017 at the atrium "Kultegin" of the main building of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University opened a photo exhibition dedicated to the founder of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Turkey to Kazakhstan Nevzat Uyanyk, the representatives of the Parliament, the head of the Turkish Cultural Center named after Yunus Emre Almagul Isina, and the professor teaching staff and students of the Eurasian National University.

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk is a reformer, military commander, statesman, founder and the first president of the Turkish Republic.

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkey to Kazakhstan Nevzat Uyanyk noted that this event is the result of good-neighborly relations between two countries.

President of the International Turkic Academy Darkhan Kydyrali, who spoke at the exhibition, said:: "Today, we will remember the great personality of the 21st century - Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. He not only laid the foundations of Turkey, but also gave the East people a hope for the Turkic world. Accepting the Latin alphabet, he came closer to the Turkic-speaking peoples".

Vice-Rector for International Relations and Innovations of the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University B.Somzhurek expressed the honor of organizing such events aimed at strengthening friendship between two countries.

Visitors of the exhibition were able to see more than 40 unpublished photos. At the end of the event, the students of the Department of Turkic Studies at the Faculty of International Relations read poems that dedicated to Ataturk.
