Teachers of the Department took part in the international conference

On February 22-23, 2018, the EU Delegation to Kazakhstan hosted the international conference "25th anniversary of the European Union-Central Asia: from past to future".

The event brought together over 150 participants from EU and Central Asian countries, including civil servants, representatives of the diplomatic corps, opinion leaders, international experts, civil society, business associations, international organizations and the media.

The conference participants discussed bilateral and regional relations in the political, economic, trade and project spheres and prospects for future partnership and expansion of relations; common security challenges for the EU and Central Asia: the human dimension of security; gender equality and human development; a new generation of partnership agreements with the EU: trade and business; the new EU strategy for Central Asia and other issues.

Teachers of the Department of International Relations, Professor Saule Aliyeva and Professor Svetlana Kozhirova  took part in the international conference.
