REPUBLICAN OLYMPIAD ON SPECIALTY "REGIONAL STUDIES" 2020
On March 31, 2020, a competitive commission chaired by Vlastimil Samek, Head of the UN Global Communications Department, summed up the results of the remote Republican Olympiad in regional studies organized by the Department of International Relations and World Economy of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The subject of the Olympics was related to one of the most pressing issues of today - the Sustainable Development Goals in the context of the strategic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participants prepared two tasks - the first is a video of the team’s business card. The second task is to present the "Strategic Plan for the Development of Kazakhstan in the Context of Sustainable Development Goals."
Students showed their professional and personal potential, showed creativity, creativity, originality, showed the ability to analyze, think logically.
The Olympiad was attended by 13 teams of students from 5 universities in three areas - Kazakh, Russian, English.
