On March 5, 2019 in room 303 of the Faculty of Information Technologies a senior teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages of the International Relations Faculty Roza Khasenova gave an open class for students of group T-11.
The title of the open lesson was "Home.Sweet home".
The main purpose of the lesson was the consolidation of knowledge on the topic “Houses”, as well as other educational goals set: to increase students’ interest in the foreign language, to foster patriotic feelings of love for their Motherland, as well as feelings of mutual assistance.
The lesson was held in the format of a quest with three teams: “Dreamers”, “Mind creatures” and “Castle owners”.
The following types of assignments were proposed:
1. crossword puzzle,
2. to make phrases from the given list of words
3. proverbs quiz,
4. presentations,
5. grammar task
6. “Guess the word” mime game
The session was very lively and at a very fast pace.
The teams coped well with the tasks, showing erudition, ingenuity and mutual assistance.
As a result, the team “Mind creatures” won by a small margin. Both students and guests highly appreciated the lesson. According to one of the students Moldir Zhumagaliyeva, it was “ a wonderful lesson”. It is worth living and creating for this!
