On February 9, 2021, the L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University organized an online round table "Achievements of the Islamic Revolution" dedicated to the 42nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.
The moderators were the Head of the Department of Iranian Studies, Senior lecturer of the Al-Farabi KazNU Bolatbek BATYRKHAN and Senior lecturer of the Faculty of International Relations of the L. N. Gumilyov ENU Akmaral TYULYUBAEVA.
The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan Majid Samadzadeh SABER. This was followed by a congratulatory message from the Consul General of the IRI in Almaty, Mukhsen Fagani.
Bahram Amir AHMADIAN, Doctor of Political Science, Professor at Allame Tabatabai University, delivered a report on the importance of the Islamic Revolution.
It is no exaggeration to say that due to some false information in the media, there is a mixed opinion about Iran. In this regard, a 3rd-year student of the Department of Oriental Studies of the ENU, Maria ZHYLKYSHIEVA, made a report to dispel stereotypes about the Islamic Republic of Iran and show it from a different angle to Kazakhstanis.
In conclusion, the participants of the round table asked questions to the diplomats. Then, the sides exchanged views on the issues of close friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Iran, further cooperation in the field of trade, economy, and education.
