On January 20, the Department of Regional Studies took part in an online expert meeting organized jointly with the Kazakhstan Center for Analytical Research "Eurasian Monitoring" and the Information and Analytical Center "Eurasia-Volga Region" on the topic "Parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan: prospects for the development of Russian-Kazakh relations." The following issues were discussed:
- features of the electoral process in Kazakhstan 2020/2021;
- procedure for holding parliamentary elections (technical parameters, electoral turnout, observers);
- results of parliamentary elections (republican and local level);
- prospects for the development of Kazakh-Russian relations.
