October 14, 2017 in National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held a seminar is devoted to the life and work of orientalist-turkologist Dmitry Mikhailovich Nasilov.

Dmitri Mikhailovich Nasilov is a well-known Russian orientalist-turkologist. His works in the field of Turkic studies and Altaic linguistics (the history of Turkic studies, comparative-historical, descriptive and theoretical grammar of Turkic languages, Altaic linguistics, etc.) are widely known in the world since 1960s, when he took an active part in the compilation of the fundamental "Ancient Türkic Dictionary" (1969). D.M. Nasilov is the author of more than 300 scientific and educational works (including monographs, textbooks and dictionaries). All of them enriched world Turcology. The seminar was attended by Kazakhstan scientists, teachers, PhD students and master’s degree students of the Department of Turkic Studies. The moderator of the event is Doctor of Philology, Professor Nursulu Shaimerdenova. Presentations were made by Doctor of Philology, Professor of L.N.Gumilyov Eurasian National University Nurilya Shaimerdinova, well-known publicist Kaiyrbek Kemenger, candidates of philological sciences Gemma Amanzholova and Maynura Buribayeva.
