«Eastern countries in the context of modern international relations: problems and new research approaches»

On November 13, The Faculty of International Relations was held an international scientific and practical online conference an international scientific and practical online conference «Eastern countries in context of modern international relations: problems and new research approaches» with the participation of foreign and domestic scientists from Kazakhstan, Russia, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Egypt, Iran, China and Japan.

The conference was organized by the Department of Oriental Studies, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

Vice-Rector for International Relations, ENU L.N. Gumileva Zholdasbekova Akbota Niyazovna made a welcoming speech to the conference participants.

At the plenary session of the conference, Professor of the International University of Information Technologies, Doctor of Political Sciences Kydyrbekuly Dulatbek Balgabekovich (Kazakhstan), Professor of Mimar Sinan University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Abduluakhab Kara (Turkey), Professor of Xi'an University of Foreign Languages, Doctor of Philology Deng Ying (China), Professor of Cairo University PhD Iman Haridi (Egypt), lecturer of Allame Tabatabai University PhD Razavi Marizie Sadat (Iran), associate professor Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies, candidate of historical sciences Khudayberdiev Aziz Khelyamovich (Uzbekistan), Professor at Ankara Haji Bayram Veli University, doctor of historical sciences Konuralp Erdzhilasun (Turkey), Professor at Mugla University PhD Yilmaz Serdar (Turkey), associate professor at Ural University named after the first President of Russia B.N. Yeltsin Muratshina Ksenia Gennadievna (Russia), Professor of the ENU. L.N. Gumilyov, Doctor of Philology Tuleubaeva Samal Abaevna (Kazakhstan).

Sectional sessions of the conference were devoted to regional problems of the Eastern countries, spiritual and cultural values of the Eastern peoples.

Professors of the Department of Oriental Studies Kaiyrken Tursynkhan Zekenuly and Abzhapparova Bibikhadisha Zhursinkyzy (Kazakhstan) and a specially invited professor from Japan Takumi Ishivatari spoke about contemporary regional challenges and security problems in the East.

Head of the Department of Oriental Studies, Candidate in Philology Akzhigit Alibekuly (Kazakhstan) also made a presentation on cultural ties, peculiarities, interaction between Egypt and the Golden Horde, and associate professor of the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi, PhD Saidumarov Murtazo Gozievich (Uzbekistan), spoke about the development, direction and perspectives of modern Saudi Arabian literature.

During the conference, other domestic and foreign scientists, teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates also reported their research on oriental studies.
